Elite has just announced the Suito – a direct-drive smart bike trainer that comes with a cassette at just $799 US. That’s one heck of a deal and comes almost exactly 2 years after Elite announced their Direto, which shook up the indoor bike trainer market by offering a direct-drive bike trainer, with quite good power accuracy, at a much lower price than any competitor at that time.
Let’s talk about some specs:
- 7.7 lb Flywheel
- 32 lbs Total Weight
- 1900 Watts Resistance at 40 km/h and 2900 Watts at 60 km/h
- Simulates up to 15% grade
- Ant+ FE-c and Bluetooth FTMS to transmit Power, Speed, and Cadence
On paper, the Suito delivers a lot for the money in terms of specs of the actual trainer itself, then add the fact that it includes a Shimano 105 11-speed cassette and that makes it easily one of the best direct-drive bike trainer values on the market today and the trainer value to beat in 2019.
